We accept referral from General Practitioners and Specialists. If you have an existing referral, please have it ready for your initial contact.

The Main Underground Car Park (RMH / MPH Car Park):
Location: The main entrance to the underground car park is located at 1F Royal Parade, Parkville (right next to Melbourne Private Hospital and the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute/WEHI).
How it works: A ticket is taken upon entry and validated/paid at the pay stations (located on Level 2) before returning to your vehicle.
Rates & Features: The first 30 minutes are free (Monday to Friday before 5:00 PM).
Tip: This car park fills up quickly on weekdays. If you have a morning appointment, please allow plenty of extra time.
Off-Street & On-Street Parking:
Metered street parking is available on surrounding streets, including parts of Royal Parade, Grattan Street, and side streets around the university precinct.
Patient Drop-Off / Pick-Up:
There is a designated 10-minute temporary drop-off and pick-up zone directly outside the main entrance of Melbourne Private Hospital on the Royal Parade service road.
Alternatively, you can utilise the level 2 temporary drop-off bays inside the underground car park structure (free for the first 30 minutes).

1. Train Station
Parkville Station (Direct Access): Located directly underneath Grattan Street and Royal Parade, Parkville Station sits at the doorstep of the Melbourne Private Hospital campus. The station features direct escalators and lifts from street level to the platform.
Direct Lines: If you are travelling on the Sunbury, Cranbourne, or Pakenham lines, your train runs directly through the Metro Tunnel and stops at Parkville Station.
Connecting Lines: If you are travelling on any other metropolitan or regional V/Line train, you can travel to a major hub like Melbourne Central, Footscray, or Caulfield and easily cross-transfer to a Metro Tunnel service.
2. Tram Stops
Royal Parade Corridor (Stop 11 - University of Melbourne / Royal Parade):
Trams: Route 19 (North Coburg to City)
Flemington Road Corridor (Stop 14 - Royal Melbourne Hospital / Flemington Rd):
Trams: Route 58 (Toorak to West Coburg) and Route 59 (Airport West to City).
Note: Stop 14 on Flemington Road features a level-access, low-floor ‘super stop’ located adjacent to the main hospital campus entrances.
3. Bus Stops
Route 401 (North Melbourne Station to Melbourne University): This high-frequency shuttle bus drops off directly at the Grattan Street / Royal Melbourne Hospital bus stop..
Route 402 (Footscray to East Melbourne via North Melbourne): Also stops securely along Grattan Street right outside the hospital campus corridor.

Settlement of your account is requested on the day of your consultation unless alternative arrangements have been made in advance. For your convenience, eligible Medicare rebates can typically be processed electronically at the time of your appointment.
